The Peach Pit BBQ is set to open on the corner of Milam and Main where Cuvee and then Rebecca's Table used to be. Hopefully third times a charm for them.
Proof Cocktail Bar has closed as has Marios Italian Restaurant (on Hwy 16)
At least it is never boring...

This, I think, is a very good move for them -- a seemingly great spot at Milam and Main. We ordered take-out for a holiday picnic. Decent brisket. And I inadvertently ordered the baked potato WITH brisket, and there was a generous portion on a a rather large spud. Otherwise, the sides are standard, nothing fantastic. I've also dined in the restaurant and found the service and atmosphere to be v-e-r-y casual/informal. Hell, this is still a BBQ place, and that's part of the charm. As an aside, the contrast to the previous tenant, Rebecca's Table, is stark (obviously) and hits you immediately (Rebecca still serves up some wonderful Stuff at Rather Sweet -- one of my Mom's friends from Dallas seemed almost appalled when she learned that we hadn't yet had the Tuesday chx pot pie ;). Anyway, I hope this location works for them. This is a good place to stop in for a sandwich and some sweet tea, and they sell brisket and other meats by the pound for to go orders. Prost.
